Hey all,

Im wanting to remove the decals I have and fit new ones, they include everything except the bonnet bird but does have striping. Whats the easiest way to remove them without "Further" damaging the paintwork.

Also I need someone to fit mine, any idea on what it would cost to fit them including a turbo hood bird and striping. Cant remember how much it cost last time??

Thanks in advance, hoping to have it done next week before Wheels if possible, feel weird bringing a "naked" TA. The other benefit is the decals may help hold her together **Lots of work planned**

Ive done all the striping and the birds on both my SE cars, it takes patience but very rewarding! As for removing, heat them up first and they should come off quite easy

hot air gun (gently) then you can buy cans of cleaner intended to remove decal adhesive

Since moving back I dont have tools like a hot air gun..hence my question. Doing things like decals without said tools or a garage can be a risky business

I was thinking about that, so I heat them up then what do I use to remove the decals? Someone has already damaged the paint where half of a trans am was removed before i bought it.

Once you've heated them up you should be able to get your finger nail underneath and start to lift them quite easily

then just peel them off
take your time and they should come off ok
