As tooic title suggests Ive got to remove the rear window! Not overly worried about it breaking by accident, but what is the best DIY method of removing a rear window? I've heard of people cutting a slit into the bond and then using wire rope to saw away the seal. Can't see an easy or accessible place to make a slit though?

I had to remove the rear screen from my car to stop a creak from the window. The window fitter pushed a wire through the sealer from the inside and cut it out. He took his time but it came out ok.
I had to remove the inner quarter panels and windscreen crome trims

get a hammer quick wack in each corner should do the trick

its best to use i super sharp knife with a long blade as they are bonded in place you can use wire but its a pain in the a## i found it kept catching the chrome trim moulding brackets

Ive removed and fitted many of these, is this still an issue ?

You can use a tool called a kent knife which has a long blade on it. The safer way is with wire and two handles and saw it out. It will need two of you to do it and the wire will break a few times once it gets hot. Be careful on the corners, you have to work the angle out so that you dont cut into the glass. You can also use whats called a long knife and cut it out from the inside by cutting through the bond. You won't cut the bead in one tho, you have to slash it
