shopping list for respray

The time is nigh! I want my car to be shiny again.

I've found a place in Warwick which will do it for a pretty good price and that includes sorting out the rust on the arches and sill. I do need a new passenger door though.

Once it's done I'll get my insurance to get me a new windscreen, as mine is starting to look like a tea bag now with the amount of stone chips on it.

Most of my weather strips look in decent condition. Except for the ones along the bottom of the window. What are they called and where do I get them? Do I need a new triangle window bit as well? Top of the window, and down the side of the door looks fine though.

What else do I need?

Window sweeps is the usual name, often on ebay. Did the lead I gave you not work out?

Old bird on here has a door and there might be another in Northampton as well which is a bit closer to me than Guildford. The doors on that one had no place for door handles either and they're quite important! But they might have some other bits I could use.

I'll look for some window sweeps then. Was there a particular eBay shop you got yours?

Rock auto have these for about £90 including postage

Or there are some Metro ones for £40 more

I don't really know what the difference would be

£90 includes the postage. It's £50 without postage. I think that already has the tax and duty on it as well.

Their postage is usually on the high side, but it seems to be better than it used to be.

It didn't include the tax, it went up a bit more after that... but at least they're on the way.
