Dip Stick

This may seem like a really daft question. Is the dip stick on a 400 with air con different to a non AC engine?

Yes it is, the air con one is longer and extends up behind the air con compressor and sits almost as high as the base of the carb. The non air con one is much shorter and sits just above the exhaust manifold flange.
