Hi
Just removed the Radiator from my 89 Firebird 350TPI and have removed the metal lines that run to the Auto transmission. When I removed these quite a lot of oil drained out...is this normal? Is oil pumped to a separate compartment in the rad or something?
Cheers

Perfect! Thanks for the quick reply, I suspected this was the case...Thought I would check though!
Re: Removing Rad - Oil from transmission coolant lines
its just like a tube running through the rad. side tank, in and out
dont forget to top-up the gearbox when you have finished
and dont start the engine while the oil pipes are disconnected

Thanks for the advice, need to change the transmission fluid anyway but will make sure its at correct level...though should think it will be a while until it starts again...doing quite a large stripdown and rust treatment!!
