Caster and Camber ?

Post by Newcastle knight » Thu Feb 05, 2015 6:04 pm

Hi all,

Ok ive got a video clip of me reversing the car out then setting off and ive watched several times thinking somethings not right. For a while now ive noticed when on full lock and turning the wheels sort of scrub.

Ive took a screen shot of the clip and id say my wheels look wonky ? it doesnt seem like its sitting straight, its angled in towards the fender slightly.

So maybe the caster / camber are buggered up on my car ? if so is the easiest thing to do take it to a wheel place and they can adjust it all on the laser things ?

I should think for the £25 or so then taking it somewhere would be the most stress free method! Just would need to give them the correct spec for the car as it wouldn't be on their system!

for 25 quid i wouldnt complain, ive got a factory service manual so im guessing the specs would be in there somewhere.

I fitted all new steering linkages last year along with a new idler arm and the tracking was done then so i know the wheels point forward correctly, so it must be the caster / camber giving me the hopping / scrubbing when on full lock.

It gives me no confidence in trying a reverse 180 at all.... ha ha
