Re: Brake calipers
Yea,i always thought they were all the same.Just looked on Rockauto to see if part numbers were same but they don't have same part numbers for my 80 and a 89,odd thing is though,if i click on part number for Raybestos ones, both 80 and 89 ones list as Firebird 79-89 which is obviously wrong as earlier 2nd gens would all be same as 79-81.If i click on part number for Monroe ones they just list them as Pontiac 69-89.
But i still think they are all the same for fronts anyway, maybe even rear pads.

Re: Brake calipers
Single pot front callipers 69 to 78 Camaro or Firebird are the same, change year 78 @ half to 81 are the same but the banjo bolt for the hose is metric and smaller diameter, however the pads 69 to 81 are the same.
Model change 82 to 92 3rd gen front callipers Camaro or Firebird are the same and so are the pads, optional 89-92 could have
the 1LE package which is very rare and the calliper and pad is different.
So there you are pads 69 to 81 use D52 pad, 82 to 92 use D154, 1LE option is D412.
I supply all of these including EBC stuff.
I wonder if anyone will comment as usually after i write something the thread goes DEAD

Re: Brake calipers
D 52 standard type delivered with VAT Total price £32-40
EBC Green stuff 25% better braking delivered with VAT Total price £67-20
You need to verify the discs are good and flat or the new pads will scream when brakes are applied until they bed into the shape of the disc.
