Brake Pad replacement - 3rd Gen Firebird Trans am

Post by Jabra07 » Sat May 23, 2015 2:31 pm

Does anyone know the allen head size for the removal of the brake pads both front and rear on an 86 Firebird trans am? Is it an awkward size? I dont want to strip the wheels only to find that it is not a standard metric 6,8 or 10mm. Its an 86 5.0 V8 trans am brake discs and pads all round.

Thanks!

9mm is ok, but if the set screws are a bit rusted in or seized, that half a mm of play in the sizes will round the bolt heads off easily.
