I've got long tubes and cherry bombs on my 6.6. Obviously with long tubes, and a car sat on coilovers there is a ground clearance issue. But the back boxes sit about an inch off the deck though. Anything I can do to shift them up? Or even better, a delete kit?

This is a common thing with all 2nd gens with duals dude. I have it too, although mine isn't quite as low cos its not lowered.

Rule of thumb is to go under the car and check the space between the top of the backboxes/bombs and the floorpan. Should be no more than a little fingers worth. If its more than this then there is room for adjustment. Not sure how much modding has been done to yours, but the height of the exhaust is set by the 2 rear hangers/canvas strip bands. Do your headers have the flange connectors or the newer ball and socket style connectors?

if on flanges its harder to reset the height. On ball and socket you can undo the 3 bolts on the ball and socket and then raise the height at the back and then tighten back up.

the problem is due to the cars never being design with true duals in mind. The original box was longitudinal between the rear axle and where the floor pan rises for the boot level.

i did just that to mine!

Had to take one box off and have a friend weld it all up to last me until i got me new ones. made sure the new ones where as high as possible. don't get too many issues now, only on those stupid half way house speed bumps if i go a tad too fast.
