always best to have a bit extra, you don't want to run out or have joins
and you want some to wrap starter and wiring etc.

I know we ran low and had to buy some more! lucky doing 3 cars over 2 weeks it was not a problem
not sure how much we used as we did 3 sets of headers, 2 short tube pairs and one long tube pair, plus Y pipes, oil cooler pipes and sender etc. and starter motors on two L98 3rd gens and one LT1 4th gen.

Re: Anybody know if these are ok?
I'm gonna go for 2 X 20M rolls of the stuff and see how it goes. As their is no urgency even though the headers arrive tomorrow!!!!!!! If I run out I can wait for more to arrive

Re: Anybody know if these are ok?
well, the exhaust system/s arrived today! Beast!! 2.5inch compared to 2 inch bore! Lovely looking bends and shape - none of the silly 90 degree bends my old exhaust has!! Now i cannot wait!

Re: Anybody know if these are ok?
they sound a bit nicer, but for the cost, work and hasselhoff of fitting and maintaining them I wouldn't have bothered if it was not for the extra power and throttle response

Re: Anybody know if these are ok?
you will need a lot of wrap more than you think 2" is the way to go wrap it so that every turn you overlap it by half the width or it will just come off ,hence why you need soo much as every 2" covered takes 15" of wrap ( times diameter of pipe x 3.142 to get circumfrence) i have done a lot of it number one make sure you where a mask when dealing with it its horrible stuf many of the types you can apply wet that makes it much less nasty, you will need to fix it often other wise it will slip you can use the propper stainless steel ties(like metal cable ties) if you use these they work on a ball system that gets trapped when tight but you need to make sure when you pull them tight that you put the loose end bent back over the top of the ball or it will not hold tight ,or you can use stainless steel wire

second that, it is horrible to use, wear disposable gloves as well or you will be itching/trying to get sharp "hairs" out for days
