Ive noticed when I start the car, it has an unbelievably strong smell of fuel, so strong in fact after a few mins sitting inside it you absolutely reek of it, the engine is running smoothly got no fuel leaks and the carb seems to be ok, are their any other places to look?
many thanks
very strong smell of fuel

Re: very strong smell of fuel
Is it definately fuel or is it semi burnt fuel/exhaust smell? Are you in a garage when you start it or outside?
Re: very strong smell of fuel
is ignition timing right? is choke operating correctly?
you could take one of the plugs out to see if its running rich (plugs will be black/sooty)
