Choke flap.

Don't think my choke works properly anymore as it is not connected to the manifold. What position should the flap be in? I think it was rusted fully open before, but I freed it up and now only seems to open half way. Have i messed it up ?

should be closed when cold, fully open when hot
may just need adjusting
