Air Mixture

Post by carterdj » Tue Aug 21, 2012 2:30 pm

Hi,

The MPG on my car sucks :veryangry: Its currently running about 50p to the mile, Some people have said it smells a bit rich, is there a way to set the aire mixture to the correct level ? and would the timing make any difference to MPG.

Cheers

Darren

there are 2 mixture screws near the bottom of the carb
and yes, timing can effect MPG

what is yours doing to the gallon?
my '78 did 16 if I was very careful, 12 most of the time and about 8 while "playing" :o
