Hi
I've had a few problems where my 1991 3.1 v6 auto wont turn over. The lights on the dash light up but on the krank turn the parking light comes on also. There is no clicking or anything.
I am guessing its the common issue on the immobiliser chip.
I wouldnt mind doing away with it completely and I see there are some kits to by. Has anyone done this? Where is best to buy in the UK? Or doesanyone have a better alternative?
Mark

Re: Immobiliser bypass?
have you checked for power at starter act. wire when trying to start (make sure it is not a starter or relay problem)

Re: Immobiliser bypass?
No I havent yet looked. The problem hasnt come back yet. Not convinced its immobiliser?
Am I right in thinking if its a starter problem you generally get a click upon key turn?
I had a chat with the guys at Redhill and they thought it was the immobiliser. After reading up a bit it seems this is a common problem and the chip in the key only lasts around 7-10 years.
