Im not an expert on this, but since nobody has replied ..... Have you considered speaking to some poeple who own and maintain cars such as Ford Sierra Cosworths etc? some of which are in excess of 500bhp? maybe they can point you in the right direction.

A Walbro 255lph fuel pump seems to be the way most of the cossie / lancer guys are going for in excess of 500bhp.

Edit: just been reading some topics on a forum about Walbro, seems like they are good pumps, but there may be problems with Walbro's warranty policy i.e not standing by the warranty terms.

Im sure there are equivalents etc

sorry about not replying, must have missed this one ::)

cant go by
cosworth/mitsy recommendations as they will almost certainly be electronic fuel injection and much higher presure pumps, as apposed to carb. which run relatively low presure

ok my mistake! i was just focussing on the BHP never thought about carbs or injection.

easy to forget about carbs, rare things now ;)

for later american cars (with inj) it is good advice
