I use a specialist here in Whitefield Manchester. I don't know what he uses, but if all else fails you could phone him (ask for Ian) the company is called "Polar Air". We both have the same car. Its just a long shot!!

I believe that R134A is also being phased out now, at work we have replaced all our R134A with R152A refrigerant ( think it's 152A!)
But I think in the Automotive world it's ok to use it until 2017 if I recall. May be wrong.
Under the bonnet doesn't the info plate tell you which gas is in the system??

Re: Air con re gas 1993
The change over was due to R-12 Refrigerant being banned in 1994.
1993 & newer GM vehicles use desiccant designed to be compatible with both R-12 and R-134a systems.
If it's been refilled in the last 20 years, R134a would have been used.
As bhm1712 says, check and see if you have the label under the bonnet. Mine is on the radiator cover. (1996 though)
Refrigerant Capacity is 2.0 lbs.

So you'll be fine then. It's what most are using still.
