Firstly the charcoal canister, there a quit a few lines to this, i read that if you just block the vacuum line to the engine off, the rest will be fine? The next question is what is thing thing for and can it be removed? Im halfway removing the aircon and wondering if the main unit is part of the normal heater blower And finally, what is this thing? I found it shoved down the side of the block

First question - charcoal canister/vapour canister: it can be plugged but as it has no adverse effect on peformance it may be worth leaving it on as without it you may get a hint of fuel smell from under the bonnet. If you were to remove it what you say about plugging the holes is correct.

Second picture is the diverter/control valve for the AIR (air injection reactor) pump which injects fresh air into the exhaust to help clean up the exhaust gases. The entire air pump assembly can be binned.

Third picture - yes the air con condenser is integral to the rest of the HVAC system. To get rid of it you need to fit an AC delete panel which bins all the large gubbins pictured.

4th picture appears to be some kind of sensor connector. I'll do a bit of digging and see if I can find out more!

Just to add you don't need to get rid of the ac box it can stay...

Last pic could be fan sensor? Does the fan work ok?

That would explain why someone has put a switch in the cab to turn the fans on...
