MOT advice
Ive just had a letter from DVLA, they have denied my car UK registration due to me not sending them in a valid UK mot. I thought that I could not MOT it until I had it registered with a UK reg plate, so the question is, how do I book a car in for MOT with no reg or anything at all?

Re: MOT advice
You can use the VIN for first MOT, that was the same situation when i first registered mine.

Re: MOT advice
you don't need a reg. number (or you can use foreign number plates if fitted), or as James says use the vin.
only details you need is the original date of first use/ registration, fuel type, colour and vin.
but you do need MOT before trying to register the car
when they issue your new reg. number the will also issue a replacement MOT with new number on it
