um, i use a microfiber sponge....so cross between the 2........and they only cost a quid lol.

Yep and i wouldn't use a jet wash on good paint either,i feel they are too harsh,although i have seen people wash with a mitt and then jet wash the soap off,i only use one on wheels and under arches or on crap paint lol.banker wrote:So your'e saying if it was a nice paint job you'd use a mitt

sponge. them chamois it dry. cant leave it dry on it's own leaves to many water marks

Sponges for me. One knackered one for the wheels and under the arches. A good one for the rest. Followed by a thourogh leathering and a beer.

Micro fiber mitt (since I read about them, sponge before this car...and for lesser cars), can't be arsed with the chamois....Run it up the bypass at about a ton, it'll blow all the water off.WelshGTA wrote:sponge. them chamois it dry. cant leave it dry on it's own leaves to many water marks

Prefer to use a very soft brush to wash our Fiero & other motors - gets into all the door & window & trim gaps better than a sponge, and doesn't retain any grit that gets loosened but potentially trapped into sponges...
